Goals

My goal is to make Fourier series and other difficult technical subjects come to life with interactive programs. By manipulating these programs, the equations in the textbooks become easier to understand. Muchof technical understanding is constructing a model in your head about how things work. If you can see how they work through interactive programs, then I think that you will understand the equations and know how to apply them better.

If you are a student , I hope that this site might help you get better grades too!

About me

I am an Electrical Engineer and have been designing RF circuits for 25 years. About a year ago I decided to broaden my skill set and learn DSP. I had been exposed to a lot of the material in college however, I barely learned enough to pass the exams.

I bought two very nice books and read for several months and tried to really understand the basics. I realized that some of the concepts for DSP are hard to visualize. I decided to make interactive programs to bring some of the math to life.

I came across a few java applets on the web and thought "This is the way to go!" I decided I would learn to program flash and bring some tricky concepts about Fourier series to light!

I really believe that interactive programs are the wave of the future. I wish they had these kind of programs to teach Electromagnetics, Calculus, Control theory, Differential equations, etc.

I want to get the ball rolling!
